      @carlos55 Are there wild elk in Mexico? I've seen them in Arizona, but I don't know how far south their range goes.

      Wild Elk lived in the northern mexican state of Chihuahua until 1910, when the last ones were hunted. There are currently no wild elk left in México.

      @carlos55 Thanks for that information. Hopefully they might be reintroduced someday? Tule elk in California were similarly wiped out. They have been reintroduced in a few pockets of habitat.
