      Galapagos tortoise / Galapagos penguin mixed enclosures?

      It's a real shame that Galapagos penguins are no longer kept. Because this is such a creative mixed enclosure, and I feel like it would be a mix more zoos would do.

      This looks like an amazing enclosure, although a bit on the smaller side (and it looks like the tortoises are used as pooping rocks)

      Apparently it held Marine Iguanas as well.

      Does anyone know what turtles were held here?

      This looks like my dream exhibit (I love mixes like these!)

      @birdsandbats The other tortoises I named in that thread are different species of Galapagos tortoise. I am unsure what species of turtle were included in this exhibit.

      Land AND Sea iguanas?!

      Gods, this would be my dream exhibit. I already love reptile mixed enclosures, as well as tortoise/ground bird mixes. But this might be the most interesting mixed exhibit I've ever seen

      :eek::eek:
      What a splendid mixed enclosure, with Galapagos penguins!
      I never knew of any zoos besides London holding them where I found a video of a young boy feeding one from 1938.
      I also second the re-introduction of the species into captive collections. Sourcing them may prove a problem though.
