Gorilla

If one were to remove the tiny camera from the left hand corner of the photo then this could be an image from the wild! Of course not all of the plant life would be comparable, but this does appear to be an extremely realistic gorilla habitat. Great photo!:)

The camera doesn't even work! Hasn't in years. Wish it did.

Something you don't see in other naturalistic gorilla habitats is the lack of plant hotwires. The only hotwires are perimeter and tree guards.

That's great to hear about the lack of hotwire, and on any future massive road trips across the United States I'm going to have to visit the Dallas Zoo. Maybe next summer?:) Anyway, this is how gorillas should be showcased in zoos. Not in mock-rock plastic fishbowls, not in gigantic metal hamster cages, not in wide-open soccer fields...but in dense jungle settings with grass, bushes, trees and a few climbing opportunities. This photo reminds me of the Bronx Zoo's Congo Gorilla Forest and Disney's Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, easily the two best gorilla exhibits I've ever seen.
