Healed scratches on back leg of giraffe

Probably caused by awful fencing.

Thanks once again for these fascinating photos. What makes you think that these are inflicted by the fencing? How bad is it?

I judged by the level of scratches, about 1,5 meters from the ground.
Fences are quite old, some of the wires are sticking out.
Here's the exhibit itself.

The injury may have happened years ago, since fur newer grows here.

Thanks; if it is that fence then I'm a bit stuck when trying to work out the giraffe's movements in acquiring the smaller irregular scratches, or its position when getting a scratch on the inner thigh.
Perhaps they were acquired elsewhere.

This might be an indoor fence as well, considering that winter barn is very small (while giraffes lived and bred here somehow)
