Herman’s tortoise and Ocellated lizard mixed exhibit

How exactly does this exhibit keep the lizards contained?

I can't exactly remember the set-up but I suspect the lizards are too large to pass through the gaps between the metal rods, and then the visitor railing was set up in such away that even lizards passing the rods wouldn't be able to escape. I can't really remember though. I didn't actually see the lizards in this exhibit...
