Great to know! Is this T. margarita (from Southern Vietnam et al .. in IndoChina) then? How big is the total population at Nanning Zoo? (seems the zoo really is the foremost primate zoo in P.R. China!!!)
Yes they used to be called T. margarita, and now is Trachypithecus germaini according to IUCN I had not finished the whole zoo this time, thus didn't know the exact number. But according to others there are exhibited in three places in this zoo now.
T. margarita is the Annamese Silvered Langur, T. germaini is the Indochinese Silvered Langur. If the two are lumped then the name in use is T. germaini.
both species are found in Vietnam. The limits aren't precise but Indochinese is found on the west side of the Mekong, and Annamese on the east side.
