      The spots are right for jaguars, the head is not that massive as others. I believe this was a young animal. Jaguars are found frequently in mexican zoos, since this is part of their natural range. They also breed very well in mexican zoos. Leopards are not so frequent, but chapultepec zoo does have leopards as well as jaguars. However this particular animal was labeled as panthera onca.
