I read somewhere that Woodland Park was the first zoo in the world to have underwater viewing of jaguars, as the exhibit opened around 2001. Is that true? It is not really that important, as according to the keepers the two jaguars don't often go into the water.
I was actually a little surprised to not see any fish in the huge pool, as I've definitely seen them in there before. Maybe it will be stocked again for the summer season...
Hopefully, as that is an incredibly enriching experience for the jaguars that live in the award-winning habitat.
