@amur leopard There is the difference between me and you I don't believe everything I read,I prefer to believe what I am told by the people that know.In fact it was me that suggested they dna tested it,as I had my doubts it was Nile, and I was right since then I have had some very interesting chats trying to work out how she came to be,and we now think we have it but we cannot confirm it as its just a best guess.

But as ever you have to have the last word to try and make it look as if you are the expert based on bugger all knowledge, perhaps just watching and learning would be a good idea for once, but you will not!

As I said before, I took the (admittedly now outdated) information from Crocodiles of the World themselves. I never knew that you were such an expert in this field and if I had I probably wouldn't have posted. As I mentioned before, I did not say I was sure - far from it in fact.

I never pretended to be an expert, just did some research which yielded wrong information.

By the way was it her especially assertive behaviour you mentioned before that led you to think she was a hybrid or another species or another factor?

@amur leopard Yes you took what information you found and jumped assuming I was wrong, and not that for once someone might know more than what you could find, instead as always you jumped in with both feet and land over 20 miles away from the truth.Stop and think before jumping and you might actually learn something,I am the first too admit I am no expert but on this subject,I know more than most because I have more than a passing interest in Crocodilians, but an expert never just an enthusiastic amateur, that knows enough people that are experts on the subject, that keep me informed of whats what with them.

As for why I thought she might be hybrid location where she was caught,if you research that area you might learn something and look at the pictures when she as first caught because that all I went from.

This is getting a bit tiring. I have already apologised for 'jumping' to a conclusion that turned out to be wrong using information from a source I deemed to be reliable given it came from COTW 'll themselves. I understand what you are saying, and I'll try not to do so again. I didn't know that you were so informed on the subject - if I had, I would never have contradicted you. But I don't know what more to say given you keep labouring the point.

I will try and find where she was caught. Thanks.
