Progress May 2010 - I guess this is the closest view to the one in the artist's impression.

We can only hope that this photo will be stored in some durable format. This is the type of visual document that becomes increasingly valuable as time goes on.While it is nothing much to look at now, what would we not give to have photographic documentation of the construction of all our favourite enclosures?Imagine how valuable this image will be after twenty / fifty/ one hundred years.Few people bother to photograph the construction stages & fewer still safeguard the images. However, I have seen that many Zoochatters are very methodical with their photos & VERY IMPORTANTLY , they tend to correctly label & conserve them. This gives ma cause for optimism.

And while we're on the subject, it would be great if everyone could get into the habit of geocoding their images. With images such as this, it would be invaluable in years to come to know exactly where the photographer was standing.
