      Oregon Zoo had Malayan Sun Bears for many years but recently bulldozed the outdated grotto in order to accommodate a future Polar Bear exhibit expansion. I was struck by how similar the Cologne Zoo enclosure for Malayan Sun Bears is, even with the almost identical concrete slope around the edge.

      Cologne Zoo seems to have a larger grotto than the one that was at Oregon Zoo, plus Cologne has multiple enclosures and that is a nice bonus.
