Does a marmoset live in the hamster cage? And why is there a map of africa on the sign?
    • Chlidonias
marmosets come from Africa. If you enlarge the photo you'll see the sign actually says that.
    • snowleopard
"Native to Africa" on the sign is accurate, right? Ha! This place is ridiculous.
    • LaughingDove
Thats not even the funniest part if you reed the second point on the right you can just about see that it says "inhabit the near tropical forests of central Brazil". THEY DIDN'T EVEN READ THEIR OWN SIGNS!! This is so funny.
    • Hix
      "Cibidae - callithrix"

LOL there are so many mistakes on this sign. There are probably loads on the other signs too if someone checks...
    • FrancoiseLangur
Well, the most charitable interpretation of this may be that the person who prepared this sign was misguided by some teacher that Brazil is a country belonging to the continent of Africa and also believes that a marmoset is a rodent.

Ah, the majestic African marmoset. Rarely kept in captivity by many zoos, must have been a treat to see. And that exhibit, must've been really expensive to Construct, probably like, 30$ from the local roadside pet store. A true advancement in the zoo world (obvious sarcasm is obvious) :D.

@snowleopard It's good to see that this place takes conservation education seriously at least.
