Non-subspecific Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) at Tierpark Hellabrunn - April 9t

Although not pure to subspecific level, this elderly individual was nonetheless an active and interesting-looking animal; the size and richness of colour, and the presence of this subspecies in the collection in decades past, would tend to suggest this individual has some degree of Kamchatka Brown Bear ancestry.
