How strange, this is almost the spot where common tree shrews were kept many years ago, in a row of cages next to chinchillas and chipmunks, as part of the evolution exhibit. The zoo later kept lesser tree shrew in what is now the pygmy marmoset exhibit. The enclosure pictured initially held red-billed hornbills and a quail species when the evolution exhibit was rebuilt, then white-cheeked touracos, later I think they tried to mix red-handed tamarins with green iguanas, before it became a dwarf mongoose exhibit, and now home to tree shrews.
