Have had absolutely no luck seeing any gibbons of late. My last quality sighting was in March 2013! Any tips to getting a great view like this? (I imagine luck plays a role in it, as well, haha.)

@AnaheimZoo On my last few visits to the zoo the female has been directly in front of that glass viewing window that looks into the center forested part of the enclosure. Before I took this photo her foot was directly on the glass. I don't know why the gibbons suddenly prefer this spot now, but it's makes for some excellent views and some good animal-visitor interaction.

I visited a month ago. Both gibbons were in the glass viewing area in the middle as well. They were enjoying looking at the children who were behind the glass. My last few visits they have been visible here, compared to in the past where they would hang more near the now gharial beach.

I've seen a number of photos of the female in that spot, which initially surprised me considering I'd only ever seen birds wandering around that window. On each of my previous Jungleworld visits, I've only gotten fleeting glimpses of them - if that - as they swung through the thick foliage at the back of the tapir exhibit/gharial section. I guess it's just a matter of "right place, right time."

Yeah before now I think I've only ever seen Bali Mynah here. I think @jayjds2 saw Elongated Tortoise once.

I believe a section of the area around this window is now roped off, but it was a Forsten’s rather than elongated tortoise. Not sure if it was a permanent change or not. I also saw Luzon bleeding-heart here.

@jayjds2 Yeah I noticed the small fence as well on my visit in June. I did not see the tortoise or a sign for it.
