What were the most common items in these jars?
    • ZooElephantMan
@snowleopard It was mostly local brackish water species, with some fish, shellfish, and other aquatic animals. The main specimens that I specifically remember were an oyster toadfish, various species of flounder, and a species of eel (probably American eel). There was a lot of overlap between the species in the jars, and the live animals kept throughout the rest of the aquarium.
