What's the size of these, compared to say a blue duiker? Love seeing all the brocket photos!

      Great collection of neotropical deer!

I still regret skipping the deer section of Zoo Berlin at my first visit... could have seen three species of rare neotropical deer.

@TinoPup Thank you! Definitely bigger than a blue duiker, a little bigger than a red-flanked duiker. Apparently 36 pounds- about 10 pounds lighter than a red brocket.

@AWP Pampas and Marsh Deer...and what year are we talking- oh no...is the third Northern Pudu!??

@Giant Eland As if I've other duikers :p Red-flanked has been a no show on every visit to Bronx, so I've only seen biggest and smallest. The brocket I saw was lying down and difficult to see, but enough that I can mentally compare them.

@Giant Eland 1999, so Pampas, Marsh and Gray Brocket. There might be one individual of Gray Brocket left at Faunia Madrid, so there is some chance I will see that the species (visiting Madrid is more probable than visiting a South American zoo for me).
