      Is that a baby Roan?
    • taun
Forget that is probably a red lewche.
    • ZooMania
Assuming that is a Lechwe then wow at how much larger the Roan are when compared to them.
    • LeeMac13
Im fairly sure it is a young Roan as i saw it feeding from one of the female Roan.
    • taun
Maybe this was the 3 then, one male, one adult female and one young femlae.

I will try and find out.
    • taun
I can confirm this is the 3 Roan that Chester received.

Is the roan antelopes the mystery ungulate that everyone was guessing or is it still to come?
    • Maguari
The mystery ungulate was said to be something not currently on show in Europe. So not Roan.

That is definately a baby Roan. It is standing in the feeding position in this photo too. A Red Lechwe wouldn't stand so close and they are much bigger than this. The female is adult, but the male in the foreground is still only young as his horns aren't fully grown.
