Scandinavian Wildlife Park - Polar Bear feeding area
The feeding area in the Polar Bear Park in the Scandinavian Wildlife Park, Denmark. This is one of the main attractions of the park. The total size of the Polar Bear Park is approx 26.000 m2 (6,4 acres) and the terrain is hilly and open with a huge lake. The vegetation consists of grass. Visitors view the polar bears from a wooden walkway stretching through the exhibit. This picture shows the feeding area by the amphitheatre. It is here that the feeding presentations take place. The pool is only for catching fish in and the white stuff to the left is actually ice. The polar bears gets five tones of ice tossed into their enclosure every morning. The Polar Bear Park opened in 2006. August 2009
