Scandinavian Wildlife Park - Polar Bear Park

A view into the Polar Bear Park in the Scandinavian Wildlife Park, Denmark. This is one of the main attractions of the park.The total size of the Polar Bear Park is approx 26.000 m2 (6,4 acres) and the terrain is hilly and open with a huge lake. The vegetation consists of grass. Visitors view the polar bears from a wooden walkway stretching through the exhibit. This picture show the main land area and a large part of the lake. Behind the hills is the amphiteatre and feeding area for the polar bears. The Polar Bear Park opened in 2006. August 2009

      So this park has a 6.1 acre brown bear habitat and a 6.4 acre polar bear enclosure? Each time a new batch of photos from this park is uploaded into the gallery it brings a smile to my face!:)
