      There is now a travel box (it's blue and behind the tree trunk) in Bruce's enclosure - he is rumoured to be moving to the refurbished Nocturnal House. I've chosen this photo of the several I took because it shows most of the figure of eight track he's made. He was trundling round and round rather like a toy train on a train set.

      It would be quite a pity if he was - he is far more active and visible than *any* echidna I have ever seen in a nocturnal exhibit, and people with longer memories have noted that he was very inactive and unshowy when in a nocturnal exhibit at Bristol;as such I think putting him in a dark enclosure would be an overall negative.
