Tierpark Hagenbeck- onager enclosure- 2020

A nice anecdote regarding onager in Hagenbeck is that in the 50`s was an expedition launched by the Tierpark Hagenbeck to catch onager and bring them into the Tierpark. On the expedition they caught 11 onager from which the whole population of onager in human care descends.
