Wetlands exhibit

A revamp of the former Scarlet Ibis and Shorebirds aviaries. The park's large collection of Scarlet Ibis and Roseate Spoonbills (around two hundred individuals for each species) are now spread over both aviaries. Other species currently housed here are Eurasian white spoonbill, Oriental white ibis, hammerkop, rufous night heron and magpie goose. The viewing gallery has much improved ventilation and no longer reeks of fish.

are the hamerkop new? I don't think I remember them.

I'm not entirely sure. The park did display this species years ago. They could have just been hidden away all this time. There's a pair on display now and they're starting to build a nest.

What happened to the silver gulls which were in here before?

They're housed in the indoor penguin exhibit now.
