Real-life squirrels are a personal favourite and unfortunately they tend to be overlooked by too many collections. That is a shame , especially when one considers how trouble-free many species are with regards to husbandry & how extremely popular they are with many, many visitors of all ages.
Possibly the only American Chipmunks in the UK. Not enough of a gene pool to start a breeding programme, & I believe they're all males anyway. Less attractive than Siberian Chipmunks too.
Interesting to note that they all seem to wear human clothing, possibly to keep them even warmer as it can get quite cold in Scotland?
In recent weeks they have been gradually getting closer to nearby picnic tables! They might start becoming a nusance to hungry visitors!
