A silly idea: a zoo game with mythical creatures!

This is a game I would totally play, as silly as it sounds. The first Zoo Tycoon game had a handful of mythical creatures, and I really like mythology and fantasy creatures so I think it would be a neat variation of the zoo simulator genre. Shoot, maybe it could be an expansion pack for a larger, base zoo game. There could be mythical creatures from cultures all over the world, even staff members could be mythical creatures. Like, you have to hire merfolk to take care of aquatic creatures. And there could still be an educational element by having a species encyclopedia that talks about the mythology of the creatures. In addition to the well-known mythical creatures like dragons and unicorns, there would be the more obscure stuff like the Nandi bear, kirin, and Piasa bird. Personally I'd be excited to see North American cryptids like mothman, Altahama-ha, Hodag, and the Jersey devil.

Some creatures would require special types of exhibit construction, like dragons and phoenixes would need fireproof enclosures. You'd be able to do shows and interaction programs with certain creatures, like flying horse rides and dragon shows. Building and decor themes could include deep sea, ancient Greece, Mesoamerica, gothic, and dark forest, among others.

What animals and features would you want to see in a game like this?

We should sell this concept to Warner Bros as a tycoon-style game to go with the Fantastic Beasts movie franchise :p

You could construct and manage the zoo/safari park that exists within Newt Scamander's briefcase.

WB recently made a game development branch specifically for Harry Potter games so they probably plan on making quite a few games as time goes on. Right now there’s a mobile RPG game, an upcoming augmented reality mobile game, and a leaked RPG. (no official announcement but there’s no way that it’s fake) I would totally be down for a Fantastic Beasts Menagerie game. I want a swooping evil!

By exhibit animals, do you mean exhibits like in Planet Zoo? Because if so I don't really think the spiders and worms would be a good fit due to the sheer size of them.

In my personal opinion the mongolian death worm only measures 4 feet while the spider is around 3 feet across. Though you would be free to use larger sizes

Doubt anyone's gonna read this but I had the idea for multiple types of different creatures. Like sea serpents being more of a group of species instead of a singular one, kind of like "whale". So then you could have more of a natural feeling like they're actual creatures that evolved and didn't just start existing at some point.
