Following my trip to Tokyo in 2016 and Osaka in 2018(still writing on it), I will went to a trip to Japan this summer in July, again. This time I will go to Nagoya, as well as Ise and Toba.

So, my zoo visit will be: Toba aquarium, Higashiyama Zoo, Japan monkey center and Nagoya Port Aquarium and probably Ise sea paradise. I really like the idea of Totto Gifu(freshwater aquarium) but I’m not really fond on fish so I will choose JMC rather than it.

All of the species is based on JAZA, and the species might die or not on exhibit when I was there in July.

Highlight of each zoos(Mammals and birds)(CAPITAL letters for lifetick)

Highligh of Ise sea paradise: CAPE CLAWLESS OTTER

Highlight of Toba: DUGONG, commerson’s dolphin, BAIKAL SEAL, west African manatee, FINLESS PORPOISE.

Highlight of Nagoya Port Aquarium: orca, beluga, emperor penguin, CHINSTRAP PENGUIN

Highlight of Japan Monkey Center: BLACK LEMUR, POTTO, WHITE-LIPPED MARMOSET, RED-BELLIED TITI, BLACK BEARDED SAKI, WHITE-FRONTED SPIDER MONKEY, BROWN WOOLY MONKEY, GOLDEN BELLIED MANGABEY, SYKES' MONKEY, MOUSTACHED GUENON, LESSER SPOT-NOSED MONKEY, TOQUE MACAQUE, BARBARY MACAQUE, TIBETIAN MACAQUE, ANGOLAN TALAPOIN, GUINEA BABOON, ANGOLA COLOBUS, SILVERY LUTUNG, PILEATED GIBBON, Francois's Langur
(I haven’t been to a lot of zoo with primates……)

Highlight of Higashiyama zoo: WOMBAT, aardvark, BLACK BEARDED SAKI, SILVERY LUTUNG, VOLCANO RABBIT, pallas’s cat, snow leopard, HONEY BADGER, RING-TAILED CAT, somali wild ass, great argus, KING VULTURE, HYACINTH MACAW, BLUE-THROATED MACAW, BLUE-WINGED MACAW,CHESTNUT-FRONTED MACAW

Actually I went to Toba first due to unforseen circumstance. And I see all of my highlight listed. Dugong and WA manatee, finless porpoise and commerson's dolphin, baikal seal and sea lion. What can you expect more? I mean, the quality of the exhibit is not good and need to improve, but there are so many rarities! Also, there are also some "must" in the aquarium, and there aren't big tanks that stunned you, but the marine mammal get the stage here.

Ise sea paradise. To conclude:Cape clawless otter and sawfish.
Also I touch the otter and a walrus.Actually the quality of exhibit is no good but as @devilfish said, it is for the interactive chance and clawless otter.

JMC:To short, beautiful primates in bad environment. The zoo provide me a lot of lifetick, yet most of them live in enclosure that was supposed to be in third world country. There are few zoos who dedicate themselves to a specific type of animals, and JMC is still worth a visit.(BTW there are very few people in weekdays so I almost own the whole zoo by myself.)
