Alternate Future of the World

Ok, I have come up with a new idea. Same concept (You can declare wars, etc) but a member can choose what country or state (for situations like the US) they want to be. Please feedback on whether this is a good idea or if I am talking complete bonkers like last time I tried this.

Forgot to mention, unpicked countries will be used to set up scenarios n' stuff.

 

The point is to remove the main source of the debates which was the way I decided locations. This new way makes it alot easier for me since I don't have to decide for the members. Please say if you want an explanation on anything.

Is this ZooChat x Mapping wow never thought I'd see this as I am a mapper myself lol.

 

I have been a mapper before I join here(Malso mapping, ~200 subs) so I actually thought this is somewhat a good idea. I have seen mapper wars so a zoochat x mapping concept is not completely nonsense.

I suppose a lot of you doesn't know what Alternate future/mapping is. Basically it is an unreal,alternate scenarios in which people imagine how the world would look like, with wars and stuffs. In this case, the countries are replaced by zoochatters.

 

I am basing this off mapping videos but the zoochatters are acting as leaders of countries.

 

What era is this? Modern?

 

Based on the statements above, I suspect this thread should be moved to the "Games, Competitions, Simulators and stuff" forum.

I declare war on San Marino. What happens now?

 

So, I guess you are Italy.
After this, you can either:
Move: Move your soldiers to a specific location (Say what location you are moving to)
Disband: Remove soldiers from the place you currently are in (Say the place you are occupying)
Raid: Send planes to bomb, open fire and raid a picked location. (Say location)
Hold: Hold defensive positions so the enemy finds it hard to push but you can't push during this.
Blockade: You can block trade and supply routes using tanks or ships.

You have to say one of these options. I will then roll a dice. 1-3 means that it won't work. 4-6 means it will work. This bit is hard to explain. If you get a 4, it will work but it will effect lower than if it landed on a 6. Please tell me if you don't understand anything else.

 

So, what can you do as a country or state?
A lot actually. I took these options from a game called Age of Civilizations 2. While it does cost five pounds/dollars/ whatever currency you guys use, it is a really good game to better understand running a country and understanding geography.

Options:
Declare war- You can declare war for territory, to set up a puppet, to switch their government, diplomatic insults and many others. Please research if you want to find out what else you can declare war for.
Send Threat- Threaten a country. If they decline, you can invade them. You can demand to annex them, puppet them, take certain land or demand military access.
Improve Relations- Make a country like you more. This will increase chance of being accepted into an alliance.
Send an Insult - Make a county have a worse opinion of your country.
Offer Alliance - Offer to set up an alliance between you and other countries.
Trade Request - You can use these options for trade:

• Gold
• Provinces
• Declare War
• Form a Coalition Against..
• Defensive Pact
• Non-Aggression Pact
• Proclaim Independence
• Military Access

• Non- Aggression Pact - Sign an agreement to not attack each other. You can break it but it would give the world a reason to attack you.

• Defensive Pact - Sign an agreement to protect each other militarily and defend them against other countries.

• Proclaim Independence - Send a request to release a certain place (Like Catalonia or Scotland)

• Form Union - Join two countries together but have both of their names in the new county name (Like Austria-Hungary)

• Offer Vassalization - Offer to make the country a puppet of you.

• Support Rebels - Support a rebel movement (Like the Catalonian movement)

• Ask for Military Access - Request for your military to be able to access entry into their country.

• Offer Military Access - Allow another country's military to access your country.

• Send Gift - Send money or aid to another country.
  
• Move Capital - Move the capital to another city.

Change Type of Government - You can change to be either:

• Democratic
• Communist
• Fascist
• Republic
• Monarchy
• Horde
• City State

Again, a later post will go into more detail about governments.

Release a Vassal - Make one of your puppets a separate country.

Take Loan - Take in money that you will have to repay later.

Repay Loans - Repay borrowed money.
