Notable details confirmed by these inventory reports: A sun bear was born but DNS. The inventory lists the newly-imported Babirusa as B. celebensis and the existing stock as B. babyrussa As of the end of 2017, the zoo held 7,7 Javan Green Magpie. A single hybrid starling of unspecified parentage was born but DNS. Following another birth, the zoo held 1,5,8 Tuatara as of the end of 2017.
I would take the distinction between B. celebensis and B. babyrussa with a pinch of salt. They go back to the same imports I believe.
Nice to see Ring-tailed lemur and chimpanzee back on the breeding list. Also the first sun bittern to have been hatched since 1971.
