The UKWCT in Berkshire now has three Arctic wolves - the first of their kind in the UK. They're currently in a holding pen alongside the middle enclosure, having arrived yesterday from Canada. In due course they'll be let out into the main enclosure, which is a little under two acres in size. As they're under quarantine you can't get that close to them, but the hope is that on the open day in August visitors will be able to see them from a distance. There are a couple of pictures on their website and there will be more to come over the next few days and weeks.
Wonderful! I feel lucky to have them here at Toronto. I think they're a fairly rarely kept wolf in zoos.
