Interesting footnote to the panda business.

The Guardian reports that Edinburgh didn't know they were getting pandas. Seems very odd...

'Panda diplomacy' was a feature of Chinese foreign relations in the past – but we may have a long wait for the next furry gift

Well I was back at Edinburgh Zoo last month and was given a time to visit the pandas, however as the time approached I found myself at the top east side of the zoo and frankly couldn't be bothered to make my way down to see them.

Would much rather see Red Pandas.

Calm down everyone, I miss read it.

"Edinburgh Zoo too had no information on a panda gift"

Regarding now, not as I read it, prior to finding out about their current pandas.

    Edinburgh Zoo....

Be nice if Cameron came back with a few pheasants, never mind those bear things.

I know that feeling exactly! If you know an animal is leaving your local Zoo, particularly if there's publicity involved, it can then become far more interesting than it ever seemed before.
