This is the best zoo in the Philippines, they not only showcase the endemics but they really have good breeding programs. A good example was Gracia , the Philippine bred Gray's Monitor Lizard. The Avilon Montalban Zoological Park is the largest zoological park in the Philippines, to date. The 7.5-hectare of the zoo lies in the picturesque valley of Barrio San Isidro, Rodriguez (formerly Montalban), Rizal, Philippines.
Visited Avilon Zoo yesterday and was surprised to see a Frigate Bird, unlabelled, no information as to what species. Does anyone know anything about this bird, species, history maybe?
