Interesting to see what the ZooChat members think the best entertainment/education aspect you have seen in a zoo? Think like themed playgrounds, photo opportunities with statues/animals etc, garden sculptures, interactive signs .. etc etc.. David
I've seen some shows that did a pretty good job of balancing entertainment and education. When I was a kid I saw the raptor show at the Minnesota Zoo, if it's how I remember it, it was pretty good. Also saw a sea lion show at the Houston Zoo not too long ago. It was about recycling and keeping litter out of the oceans. Items were placed in the water and the sea lion would sort them into the correct bins, trainer would narrate. Better than their sea lion show I saw before that. (it was about baseball or something, not very educational) Obviously I didn't really learn anything new, it was geared more toward kids, but I'm sure it got those children invested.
