Yes this is very nice (as are most of his photos). Unfortunately due to the way he edited it the EXIF data is not available so it is impossible to tell if this was originally taken in 2020 or just uploaded then. Perhaps @Stefan Verhoeven can reply to confirm when the photo was taken?
The photo was taken in 2019 (processed in 2020, do that's who i didn't post it earlier). So unfortunately it doesn't fit the requirements for the best photo of 2020.
Can't have a Best Zoochat Photo Poll without at least one photo from @Neva! Here is my nomination, taken at Zoo Plzen: I really did also think about nominating the following photo by @RetiredToTheZoo : https://www.zoochat.com/community/media/bull-shiras-moose-wild.499409/ so if anyone is stuck for ideas, check it out .
Hahaha! This is why I don't take part in these things; I always pick a rogue I'll look for another And the next choice is from 2019 too.
Okay, I remember seeing a flood of great photos from @Therabu late last year and decided to nominate this.
Some of the photos on my final list were ones @Therabu posted in the Doue la Fontaine gallery - some absolutely brilliant shots. What is the media link for that photo?
My nomination, Syrian brown bears at Hamerton by @ro6ca66 Double portraits like this are always difficult, but this is perfectly composed. The photographer commented that it compares the female bear, with her brother on the right.
I nominate this photo "Nuri the sumatran tigress" by Neva. Posted in the February Photo Showcasing album. https://www.zoochat.com/community/media/nuri-the-sumatran-tigress.477842/
@amur leopard The one you nominated from @Neva was one I almost did as well. However the bull moose you suggest was taken in 2018, so it is disqualified. (Otherwise it would have been my first choice).
@littleRedPanda I was in the middle of making the vote thread when I noticed that Fossa photo was taken in 2018. Do you have another nomination?
Sorry, i've been through a bunch of folders and the photos that really caught my eye, posted last year are all taken before 2020: even in the wildlife folders.
The vote thread is now up: Best Photo of ZooChat 2020: The Vote It's the same format as least year's competition but I am considering changing up some rules for nest year.
I know it's late, but still I would like to thank you for nominations, your comments were so kind and also inspirational (every time I read them made me smile!). Thank you! Congratulations to all photographers and their work nominated here! Zoophotography can be tough but also fascinating kind of photography and everyone's perspective's precious!
