Is there any way to get a species list of all canids currently held in US zoos?

Besides the Maned Wolf, are any other South American canids held? What about the various fox species besides Red and Fennec?

Bat-ear and swift fox are managed as SSPs. Grays, kits, and reds are incorporated into various native species exhibits. Arctic fox aren’t too uncommon. Other fox species tend to be in pretty low numbers.

Only South American species I’ve seen besides maned wolf is bush dog, and they are fairy uncommon. I’ve never seen small-ear or any of the zorros.

Arent there no longer Raccoon Dogs in North American zoos? I saw two of them at Atlanta a few years ago but I think both individuals passed away. Bush Dogs were also supposed to be at Atlanta, but I don't recall seeing them when I went and I'm not sure theyre still there.
Do you know the specific zoos that carry the jackals? Strange how they rarely if ever appear anywhere in the US despite being a fixture of the African savanna theme.

    Oklahoma City has raccoon dog.

I can understand why jackals aren't that popular. African exhibits already have lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas... not much interest in scrappy, medium-sized canids. Fennecs and bat-ears have the advantage of being cute and easily mixed with other species. All of the jackals in the US that I'm aware of are in non-AZA zoos - Brights, Hemker, Wildlife World, Plumpton Park.

Columbus had Black-backed Jackals until recently, now they are found only in private zoos and aren't too common there either. It baffles me, I don't know why more places don't keep them.

The only US zoo that has raccoon dogs in Oklahoma City.

Bush Dogs are almost gone from US zoos, only 4 places are left keeping them and given their short lifespans I would be willing to bet the species will be gone from zoos in the US within 5 years, if not less.

I was going for a representative geographic sampling of various parts of the country. ZIMS still has Hemker listed as having 2.0. I'll ask him next time I see him

Who has them, they are one of the few African canids I’m missing. Sad that they are in shady places
