I don't know if this will interest any one, but it comes from an original Crystal Palace Good Friday Programme from April 12th 1895. He was to display his dioramas in the grounds of the Crystal palace, which included a troupe of native Somalians.

He also displayed at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. I have a stereograph picture of his Arctic living diorama there

In the winter of 1913 / 1914 Carl Hagenbeck’s “Wonder Zoo & Big Circus” appeared at London Olympia; a series of postcards were issued of that including one depicting a chimpanzee’s tea party (that in addition to five chimps also features an orang utan).

Any idea exactly which 'Somali wild animals' featured?
