Does anyone know what's going on with the canal islands because the belted lemurs are still signed there however I still saw no signs of them outdoors or indoors and they were not on the island either
And on the app the Islands appear vacant does anyone know the reason behind that

They have mostly finished working on the black lemur enclosure and there was a sign on their shelter saying that something will be joining them soon

I have also noticed that the red pandas are back in RORA. This could be due to some work being carried out on the old gatehouse. I would have thought it to be too early for the snow leopard enclosure work.

Are the black lemurs not in the Madagascar section? Also when there is red pandas in ROTRA it tends to be they are offspring of the breeding pair that are yet to be sent elsewhere

The 3 black lemurs in the walkthrough are the male offspring of Amber and Marvin who have the enclosure by the old cheetah/painted dogs.
I was told by a volunteer that one of the adult Red Pandas was in RORA.

I'm planning on visiting in a couple of weeks and I was just wondering what areas are closed. If anyone could tell me which species aren't visible because of the grasslands development or if anywhere is closed because of bird flu I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

From what I remember, the zebras, roan antelope, meerkats and rock hyrax are off show as a result of the Heart of Africa construction, but I don't know if more species have been added to that.

Sitatunga and aardvark too I imagine as well as the cranes. Not sure if the warthogs are on show or not.

Will the birds in Tsavo aviary and the larger aviary next door stay put or will they also be moved off-show due to the construction work?

The warthogs were still signed last time I went however I think they were shut in due to the cold

There was also a red panda in the original enclosure
And also I know that apparently the old anteater/kangaroo enclosure and the round enclosure are scheduled for demolition but does anyone know if the old cheetah/ cassowary enclosure will also be demolished because I think that could be a good enclosure for snow leopards while they are offshow

Warthogs have access to their house, and also a small paddock you can't see from the public areas. There is a race which has been created out the back, which they needed to do to crate train them for their move over holding, so they can't actually access their paddock.
So whilst they are still in that area, you wont see them, so they may as well be offshow, but they were planning to move them offshow pretty soon.
