Wandering back to the staff entrance in fading light while listening to the lion roaring takes some beating.

The experience does depend on the type of visitor you’re trying to attract though-London Zoo I’m looking at you!

A members-only evening should attract a good type of visitor, though.

True, but those who’ve had experience of London’s “Zoo Nights” in recent years will know what I’m alluding to!;)

Anyone wishing to do so, can book tickets on-line here: Chester Zoo - Online Shop

The website has been flaky for a few hours, as one would expect, but seems to be working now.

Live parliamentary debate about Zoos on now! Ministers are desperately trying to mention the zoos in their own constituencies so that Chester doesn't hog the entire debate!

Zoos are re-opening, so why is this debate (chit chat) still happening?

Plus many zoos are still likely to require support, financial or otherwise, over the coming months, so it's a good chance to get the word around if nothing else. :)

Unfortunately, Scottish and Welsh zoos are not yet allowed to open. Secondly, not all zoos are re-opening. Many can't. The 'chit-chat' is important discussion to secure the future of many exceptional zoological collections.

So an Edinburgh MP points out that Scottish zoos are not being reopened which is a surprise to a Dudley conservtive MP; can the UK government force Scotland and Wales to open their zoos, or can this 'debate' even influence them?

The member's login was broken all day today so I couldn't book, assuming it will be ready tomorrow?

Once the website was up, I had no problem booking for Chester. On the other hand, Whipsnade's only worked for a couple of members all day, and now it's completely unavailable.

Predictably, Chester have sold (or allocated) all of their tickets.
