Hi , I am doing a reasearch project on white cockatoos suiteabilty in captivty. Would like to heard if they are better or worse than other parrot species in terms of stress and stress related illness. Any comments from anyone looking after cockatoos?

I don't know much about white cockatoos, but I have been behind the scenes in chester's parrot house and was given lots of information by the head of parrots. He said that the red vented cockatoos were one of the reasons that they moved the parrots off show. They apparently get very stressed around the public and the zoo did not want to overly stress them out, so they moved all 6 of them (5.1) off exhibit.
