Does anyone know about this Russian chimp?

    Pictures and stories about this baby chimpanzee say that a Russian zookeeper brought the ape home from the zoo 2 years ago. Many in the U.S. great ape groups are wondering whether this is true, and what happened to the chimp. Does anyone know about this?

    This is a female, born in Nikolaev zoo (Ukraine), in 2007. Her number in European studbook is 13478.
    Transferred to Kharkov zoo (Ukraine) in 2008.

    By the way, the dog is a Cane Corso, not a mastiff.

    Is Kharkov Zoo a good zoo? Is this chimpanzee "Nick" being treated well?
