Don't panic, but there's an animal loose in the Zoo Grounds.

In the wild they eat other chimps that are not from their troop.

 

And we dont taste very good....at least that's what I've been told.

 

I've heard the opposite... Half the reason lions become maneaters is not only are we easy to catch (when unarmed) but our meat is very tender compared to a well muscled antelope...

Yes, I think Chimpanzee is definately one of the worst. I've seen film of both chimpanzees(Causeway Safari Park) and Gorilla(Bokito) on the loose. The chimpanzees seemed rather more frightening to me.

What I don't like about the Jaguar is the fact it could hiding & waiting to pounce on you without you're knowing it, as this is how they ambush their natural prey. I know that there have been several fatalities from Jaguars in zoos.

Someone mentioned White-tailed gnu. Its true-the males are extremely aggressive animals.

How come no one has mentioned African Hunting Dogs, on a recent visit to London zoo I noticed that the dogs looked at every human who walked past their enclosure like they could eat them!

 

I'd be scared if an elephant were on the lose at our zoo, or if we had them Chimpanzees after hearing how dangerous they can be,

 

Maybe if a whole packed escaped then maybe, AWD would be very dangerous then.

 

Chimp, 100%, makes other escapees look like newborn kittens.

There was a Hunter Hunted episode about a chimp break out, it explains a lot about Chimps,

 

A bull elephant wouldn't scare me all that much. It'd be too easy to get away from him. Same for a hippo...unless I somehow ran across him in water. I don't think a gorilla would do much unless startled.

Chimps have to be #1 for me. Always looking for trouble.

 

So is that why Hippos KILL more people on land in Africa than another type of animal???????????????

 

How would you get away from an Elephant or Hippo? run?

 

Maybe by running and hiding, depending zoo of course with large aniamls like that, but with the large cats I don't think you'd even have a chance to turn around,

 

I'm pretty sure both hippos and elephants are faster over short distances than humans... One of the most dangerous places to be on earth is between a hippo and water...

It would be foolhardy to dismiss gorillas or in fact any wild animal fot that matter...

 

great point if there were an animal on the lose in the zoo, consisting of 98.9% of what are in exhibits , I'd take great caution or I'd get the hell outta there!

 

i think the scariest animals that could get out at the zoo are, as nominated, chimpanzees, bull elephant, big cats and bears.
i think the element of risk from antelope is less, even hippos. think of your typical zoo, with fences, gardens, buildings and moats and in an all hell breaks loose situtation visitors could barricade in buildings, up trees and on roofs etc. these things wouldnt be enough to stop the above.
