I visited the zoo on January 2nd, 2022, unfortunately, the weather was not the most conducive to most of the species (the high was only 45F/8C) so many species were off-exhibit, if they were specified off-exhibit they are marked in bold, species that were on-exhibit, but I personally did not see them are in italics EP Water Education Station Near the entrance is a small building meant to educate about the climate and water, especially in the Rio Grande Bolson tortoise (Outdoor holding yard) Madagascar Hissing cockroach Mexican redknee tarantula Desert Box turtle Africa Lion Meerkat (No outside access) Radiated Tortoise Reticulated Giraffe, Greater Kudu, Addax Grant's zebra, Spur-winged goose, Cape teal Red river hog Chihuahuan Desert Black-tailed prairie dog (accidently skipped this enclosure) Baja Penisular Pronghorn, Bolson tortoise (Large mixed enclosure was split with the below species in a separate yard) Rio Grande Turkey, Collared peccary White-nosed coati Montezuma quail American kestrel Puma Jaguar (have two enclosures, split with pumas) Greater roadrunner, Burrowing owl, Gambel's quail, Western screech owl Mexican wolf Thick-billed parrot Ranch House Montezuma quail (indoor space) Black widow Unspecified Centruroides scorpion Unspecified Aphonopelma tarantula Great plains skink Western coachwhip unlabeled Terrarium Americas California sea lion American Alligator Geoffroy's spider monkey Galapagos giant tortoise Ocelot Military macaw and Blue-gold macaw Reptile house Mexican Beaded lizard Mojave sidewinder Boa Constrictor (Green crested basilisk and Painted wood turtle were signed, but I saw a BC) Hispaniolan green anole Taylor's cantil Black-tailed rattlesnake Yellow Anaconda Green and Black poison dart frog with Dyeing dart frog Mission golden-eyed frog San Esteban chuckwalla Guantanamo anole Aruba island rattlesnake Haitian giant galliwasp Grand cayman blue iguana Coahuilan box turtle (Outdoor) Smokey jungle frog with Mata mata Canyon tree frog Tiger salamander Black-spotted newt Mexican milksnake Woodhouse's toad Banded gila monster Eastern collared lizard Eastern kingsnake Trans-pecos copperhead Rosy boa South American Pavilion Hoffmann's two-toed sloth, Green crested basilisk, Saffron finch Plush crested jay Southern tamandua, White-fronted marmoset Golden lion tamarin, Brazilian porcupine Rhinoceros iguana Cottontop tamarin, Yellow-footed tortoise Yellow anaconda Amazon tree boa Aviary Free-flight: Inca tern, red-crested cardinal, Common moorhen, Masked bobwhite, Scarlet ibis, Blue-grey tanager, Venezuelan troupial Black-throated magpie-jay, West Indian whistling duck Common moorhen, Sora, Masked bobwhite Asia Asian Elephant Koi Sumatran orangutan Malayan tapir Siamang Amur leopard Lion-tailed macaque Hooded crane Przewalski's wild horse, White-winged wood duck Malayan tiger Sun bear Nocturnal House Tawny frogmouth Northern treeshrew Pygmy loris Prevost's squirrel Aviary Bali mynah Burmese Python Free-Flight: Luzon bleeding-heart, Masked lapwing, Indian pygmy goose, Marbled teal, Palawan peacock-pheasant, White-breasted kingfisher, Green-winged dove, Nicobar Pigeon, Bali mynah, Greater malayan chevrotain, Azure-winged starling, Matallic starling
Thanks for the list some interesting species in there, like the Montezuma Quail, the anoles, Haitian Giant Galliwasp, the magpie-jay and the lion-tailed macaques.
No problem! I know someone will always find a list like this interesting, I know i do haha. In my opinion there are only two bad enclosures and they are still decent, the Rhinoceros hornbill (which I forgot sorry, they are kept inside the Asian aviary in a separate enclosure) are in a tall but bare aviary with only 3 or 4 branches and a concrete floor, and the Amur leopard, it's a little on the small side, and they also aren't exactly the best subspecies for the environment
