    Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo is a ~20-acre facility located in Rome, New York. The zoo is home to smaller species such as capybara, emu, African spur-thigh tortoise, ball python, mute swan, fallow deer, sika deer, Vietnamese pot-bellied pig, European hedgehog, lesser hedgehog tenrec, ring-tailed lemur, American bison, grey wolf, North American porcupine, and Columbian black spider monkey.

    On February 11th, the zoo announced that they have opened up an online store to purchase zoo goods.

    On April 4th, the zoo announced that a (0.0.1) capybara was born.

    On April 26th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) Scottish highland cow was born on April 24th. His name is Henry.

    On August 8th, the zoo announced they have acquired (0.1.1) domestic yaks named Sue and Kimchi. They were originally from Brentwood Farms in New Hampshire.

    On August 19th, the zoo was hit by a flood due to heavy rainwater, though all animals on the property survived.

    On August 23rd, the zoo announced the death of a (1.0) emu named Olaf due to parasitic exposure from the floodwaters.

    On April 30th, 2022, the zoo announced that a (1.0) alpaca named Benjamin was born on April 29th.

    On May 27th, the zoo announced they have acquired a (1.0) F2 black nose Valais lamb named Jezero from Starfield Farm in Maryland.

    On June 9th, the zoo announced that their petting area has been renovated, with a few willow trees being removed after they were uprooted during a storm.

    On July 8th, the zoo announced that they moved their (1.0) Flemish giant rabbit Clifford into the black-handed spider monkey exhibit.

    On March 31st, 2024, the zoo announced that they acquired a (1.0) black-handed spider monkey named Willie from an unspecified rescue facility in Tennessee.
