it isn't his theory, it is a fact. It states that quite explicitly in the list of benefits of becoming a supporter.
Really. Doesn't seem that way for me. Half the ads are from companies I don't know for products I don't care about. Also, if that were true then I wouldn't be getting tons of anti-Obama, anti-gun control ads. Male, 15. ~Thylo
Key words guys. I think that not only does Google Ads know the sites you visit, but they know the content of the page. Thylo has been posting a lot about Obama and gun control, and epickoala was just looking at a thread about spam emails that mentioned women and dating. Google Ads is extremely powerful and pervasive.
I didn't post anything directly about Obama but I have let the forum know my preference to keep my guns.
For the record, I've said what I've said here and I only recall just telling people to keep the gun control debate off the Sandy Hook memorial thread so I'm not exactly discussing it a lot. ~Thylo
The poll, unscientific as it may be, has confirmed what I already suspected: that, for some unknown reason, many more zoo enthusiasts are male than female, but I am at a loss to suggest a reason for this. I have noted that the overwhelming majority of the members of the Bartlett Society (a UK-based organisation dedicated to researching the history of zoos) are male - though I hasten to add that additional female members would be welcomed with open arms (figuratively, not literally).
There is a huge disparity between the number of males and females in the under 20 age group. I found this to be quite surprising, given that so many zoo employees are female.
I'm male, 29. This is only less than 3% of the actual members polled on this site. If all members voted, it may be different. Not to mention, if lurkers/guests actually registered and voted.
I wonder if young males are more likely to register details on line than females? from what I see of the younger generation boys seam to be more interested in computers/technology generally than girls, who seam to prefer feminine sites more. We older ones are possibly less keen or have less free time to vote in such polls, though I have.
