Hi, my name is Bernie and my passion in life is Gorillas.

I have had the passion for as long as I can remember but was cemented when Mr John Aspinall inspired me when I watched a TV documentry on himself many years ago, him being successful whilst using a casino! Gambling paid off for him and he never looked back. I wrote to him two weeks before he died and his secretary wrote a lovely letter back which I cherish to this day. His son David in it running the two parks.

I will go anywhere for a gorilla - country permitting, one needs to safe and sensible after all. I have been to various zoos to visit these magnificent individuls and am in awe of them.

I have just returned from Jersey visiting Durrell Zoo, where they have a small family of 5 - an interesting time was had.

I would love to hear back from any enthusiasts, any information, any help of where next to go and visit or any information that you may think relevant.

Looking forward to hearing your comments.
