Now here’s a new competition we already have guess the species well here comes guess the zoo & enclosure.

To get the answer correct you must guess the name of the zoo and the name of the enclosure the photographs can be cropped to make it a little more difficult.

It can be from any animal collection a zoo a park a safari park an animal farm a birds of prey centre anything to do with animal collections.

The winner will be announced after 7pm on the 4th march and they will then post the next one and so on winner will post the next one.

So here is the first one

I think it's the penguin enclosure at Dudley.

this competition is going to be pretty much impossible for anyone who's not from the country the zoo is in (and for many members, even if they are)! I mean, I could post a photo of a cage at Dusit Zoo in Bangkok, or Orana Park in Christchurch and honestly who is going to get either of those?

I'm not sure that's true, I'm familiar with many zoos I haven't been to in person and would probably recognise quite a few enclosures.

it will at the least be an interesting thread. Perhaps a clue or two to go along with each photo would be an idea (maybe the country the zoo is in, or something like that)

Does that mean that we can include private collections - ie. the first person to guess my spare bedroom when it's my turn :p

@Javan Rhino by any animal collection I did actually mean collection were the public pay to see the animals and@Chlidonias thats a good idea to give a cuouple of clues as the either the zoo or species enclosure.

The idea of this competition is to try and have a slightly different competition instead of the usual type ones so hope everyone enjoys

I quite like the idea of posting deliberately obscure exhibits and trying to guess the inhabitants from the furnishings alone!

    I know, I was just joking :p

I have a few that would be perfect in collections that people can/could go to :)

Well, this is not a game for me. I'm not familiar with zoos at all, although I'll take a peek every now and then. :)

Is it the Casson Pavillion at London? That is a wild guess, was originally going to go for Blackburn Pavillion but reckoned the elephants were important :p
