    This was inspired by @CrashMegaraptor's advent calendar. They will all be at well known US zoos. I will put the year it was built and what region of the United States the zoo is in and one animal in it. If someone guesses correctly, then I will move on to another, but if no one does, then I will reveal another animal.

    Precisely. I remember when I first when there, I kept mistaking the melanistic jaguar Rocky as a panther and I was getting on the nerves of a docent there.
