hi, here is a bit of info about me:
    i am 12 years old
i have been to all the zoos in the uk
    my fav is colchester zoo
i was on tv in 1998 as a baby
i hav known 16 giraffe, 3 giant anteater, 5 aardvarks, 9 lions, 12 tigers, 8 meerkats, 2 elephants, 4 rhino, 2 zebra, 2 hyenas, 1 monkey, 4 lemurs, 2 pandas, 1 hippo since they were babies and most are still alive today.
my favorite animals are white rhinos
i really want to be a zoo keeper when i am older and work with the white rhinos and giraffes.
i currently adopt 2 animals from colchester zoo:
cynthia the white rhino(because she is a very famous and special rhino as she became the first rhino in the uk to become pregnant using AI:) and is mothe to simba's 2nd and last calf)
zola the african elephant(because she was treated cruelly :(when she was younger and i feel very sorry for her, but at leat she now has a good home where she can be looked after properly)

    Hi.

Thats a very bold statement that you have been to every zoo in the United kingdom,as I`m alot old than you and have visited over 200 collections in the UK and still manage to find places that I`ve not visited.

Thats £200 per year for adopt these two animals... A bit much for someone 12 year old.

    I sense a troll here ;)

I am somewhat dubious about this (perhaps you could post a list) but a rather late welcome to the forums nevertheless.

Well in that case you must have visited over 200 collections by now as I`ve been to over 200 in the UK alone and I`m still finding new ones so I would be very interested to see your list of collections that you have visited just to see if I`ve missed any that I could get done.

    Hi Cheetahgirl :D

I have a question for you,

Can you name all the zoos you have been to in the UK?

Can I ask How you have known all those animals since birth? ;) becasue unless you were there when they were born then I cant see that you have.

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing of some of your opinions on some of the UK's best zoos.

    ZL

Well given your list you have only been to 2 that I haven`t and they are Isle of White Zoo and Curraghs Wildlife Park,so to my maths you are at least 150 collections behind me so to be able to say you have been to every zoo in the UK still have alot to go even just to catch me up,given that on average I visit around 50 different collections in the UK every year plus at least 6 in Europe every year, and still manage to visit both Chester and Twycross well in to double figures during the year.

Welcome cheetah girl. That's definitely an impressive zoo list. It's good to have members of all ages at ZooChat, keeps us from getting to serious around here. It's suppose to be all about the love of zoos, not just constant heated debates.

Hello Cheetahgirl. I'm sensing you have zoofan parents.

Lighten up will you. Anyway you can part-adopt animals at most zoos at far less cost.

Don't WWT sites and Sea Life Centres count as Zoological Collections anymore? What about Pensthorpe? London Aquarium? The Deep?

Also I do not see Living Coasts, Manor House or Trotters World of Animals there...

Also... I like the fact this list is essentially all in alphabetical order... A big coincidence that she remembered each Zoo in alphabetical order.

Welcome Cheetah girl. And I really think that although we are zoofans does it relly matter if she has or has not visited 200 zoos I mean come on guys get a life.
