Hi all, Took out Bristol membership a few weeks ago and have made the 60 mile round trip with my toddler five times since then. Probably going back this weekend. We are a little scared of the dark in the twighlight world but aside from that we enjoy the whole zoo. Will sadly but understandably have to travel slightly further afield (Noah's Ark, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Longleat, West Midlands Safari Park) to see giraffes, elephants and rhinos. On each visit I try to learn something new about the creatures themselves or the wider conservation challenges faced by them and us, but mainly I simply stop and take in the beauty of the living world. At the same time I see my son's eyes fill with excitement, intrigue and sometimes even a little healthy respect! To all those involved in conservation and welfare, may I say a big thank you and please keep up this truly valuable work.
