I have been working on the zoo information on wikipedia. The lists of zoos are highly inaccurate and filled with outdated misinformation. The sources taken range from ca 2000-2011 with some sources staying dormant. Also, someone has removed zoos that we in this community consider zoos, but which others do not consider zoos. A few months ago, the Kentucky Horse Park was removed from the zoo list. Possibly because it is a specialist facility which only has horses. Another source removed the Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch, a facility famous for its many violations of animal welfare. If any of you would like to help me remove entries that are out of date or include misinformation, you are more than welcome to join me in the battle against zoo misinformation.
Yes, I know. Someone keeps reverting our edits, and somebody thankfully removed that facility. However, there are still some roadside facilities in the US list. I know it's not a zoo, as it only has horses of various breeds and does not meet the definition of a zoo. That Wikipedia article features so many inaccuracies, for example, it includes some controversial facilities, and one time I edited a bit to much, and removed over half the entries, so logically somebody went and took down my edits so now I have to redo all the work.
I thought in the earlier post you were complaining that someone had removed the horse place, but now it is "thankfully"? And, acknowledging that this may be a language / translation issue, but you appear to be saying that you are deleting zoos from the list because they are "roadside" or "controversial" zoos? Because that would mean that you are the problem for that page, not the people who are reverting your deletions.
