Do any hotels have small zoos or animal collections?
I have heard of hotels in Madagascar keeping lemurs and I know various hotels have fish. Some zoos have hotels, but are there any hotels that have zoos in their grounds.

The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has animals, including big cats and bottlenose dolphins. I'm sure some other hotels in Vegas have animals as well.

The MGM Grand in Las Vegas used to have lions in the casino in a glass sided exhibit.

Chessington World of Adventure has Rhino Iguana and Piranha in its hotel.
Also the former Lenwade Zoological Gardens was part of a hotel as well.

What about zoos which also include accommodation (not just safari tents, but actual hotel style accommodation) - does that count?

I don't know if they count as hotels, but some of the larger big bass pro shops have lodging like hotels in the building, and all locations have animals of some kind, ranging from fish, to free flight waterfowl, to snakes and alligators.

You forgot the most famous one: Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with different kind of antilopes, giraffes, zebras, red river hogs and birds.

Avifauna in the Netherlands is owned by the Van der Valk chain, which mainly runs hotels and restaurants. One of their hotels is actually next to the entrance and gives direct access to guests to the park.

I had heard someone say that some of those lions are descended from the original MGM lion, do you know if that's true?

I don't know if that's true or not. That would be interesting.

On Yucatan in Mexico there is at least one hotel with a small zoo-collection. On my trip through this area we had planned to visit this place ( forgot its name - have to look in my notes ) but run-out of time. So mayby next time ;).

Yes, it's true. I believe they were around seventh generation descendants when it closed.

If so, I'd add ZOO Dvůr Králové, Vogelpark Marlow, TropenZoo Bansin, Elch & Rentierfarm Golz and Ranua Wildlife Park.

Kalahari Resorts in the north of Ohio has a small animal collection including giraffes, kangaroo, Barbary sheep, and the occasional photo op with big cat cubs (incredibly sad use of big cats)

Kalahari Resorts in both Wisconsin Dells and Sandusky have zoos or are associated with some small zoo. The infamous Timbavati Park or whatever in Wisconsin looks downright horrid looking at its gallery, and Sandusky's resort unfortunately even has a lion/tiger cub photography area. Their zoo is pretty much mediocre, though bland and lacking enrichment of any sort.
EDIT: didn't see grandelover1's post xD

    You are fine xD

I have personally been to Kalahari's "zoo" and it is horrific! The poor cubs are just thrown around to children who hold them uncomfortably. The hoof stock are in far too small enclosures, and most, if not all of the represented species are overpopulated for exhibit size.

Agreed! The enclosures were stark barren, literally not even at least like a branch in the hoofstock enclosures. I saw a picture on the internet somewhere of the place and there was a boa constrictor and a ball python crammed in the same tank. The place has potential but it needs a LOT of improvements. The aoudads probably have the best of it since they have a rocky mountain but that's really about it. I heard apparently an eland escaped a while back and they rotate animals there like crazy.
